Project Overview
We were appointed to carry out drainage repairs at a domestic property experiencing subsidence, with works focused on restoring the integrity of the system and preventing further ground movement.
Scope of Works
The drainage system was cleaned and assessed prior to repair. Lining works were used to address defects where possible, reducing the need for excavation.
Key Works Completed
- Cleaned pipework ahead of rehabilitation works
- Installed structural liner between inspection chamber and soil stack
- Installed patch liners to defective sections and junctions
- Replaced foul water gully and associated pipework
- Carried out localised excavation where required
- Reinstated all affected areas on completion
Approach
A trenchless approach was used wherever possible, allowing defects to be repaired through lining without the need for extensive excavation.
Working Environment
Works were carried out within a live domestic setting, with care taken to minimise disruption to the property and surrounding areas.
Outcome
The defective drainage was successfully repaired, restoring the system and removing a contributing factor to the subsidence, while keeping excavation to a minimum.
